at 10 1/4p.m. the Wardsman heard a cry of murder from the upper ward, went up and found Joyce Durack, making use of bad language and assaulting the inmate Frier with his Boots. He was at once discharged according to his order of admission.

Kays John                             6 Feb. 1877     Having become insane and a danger to the other inmates, was reported to the Medical Officer who called on the Honorary Medical Staff when Dr. Karr attended, who on examination with Dr. Holthouse, pronounced him Insane, information was laid and the man removed.
